Heimdaal is the largest and oldest of the gestalt fighting machines. Originally built for war these giant robots are now used to fight eachother in collossal stadiums for entertainment.

Heimdaal is classed as a super heavy one of only two left in existence. Nicknamed 'The Hunter' his AI is clinical and precise owing much of his skill to the vast experience he possesses. It is not known precisely how old Heimdaal actually is compared to the various smaller machines that compete around him. However, his design is unique compared to an other machine that encounters him.

Heimdaal is also connected to all the other up and running gestalts via a subspace link that is not fully understood yet by the Gestal pilot community. It seems he sees and hears all around him through his fellow fighting machines...

I'm eventually going to get around to a story about Heimdaal. He's known throughout the leaguse as 'The Hunter'. His current operators have even tried to rename his AI that too. But he keeps changing it back whenever he's powered down^^. The idea is that he's the biggest and oldest of the gestalts. He's seen countless battlefields on inumerate worlds and really just wants to be deactivated permanently. But instead he's forced to fight week in, week out, for entertainment.

Hmm..I guess that's how he passes the time and spends his life. I need to see a little story of these military mechs like a literature dude. :)
